Sit back away from the crowds and enjoy the air show from the comfort of your own table for the day. The VIP Flight Line Club™ area offers extraordinary views of the show with the seating of 2 or 4 seats per table. This VIP area offers "in and out" privileges throughout the day for guests to enjoy the static displays, concessions, souvenir booths, and exhibitors. Dedicated premium porta-lets are available for the convenience of of our guests. A delicious bbq catered lunch will be available. Unlimited soft refreshments will be provided throughout the day.

#8 MAJ BRANDON MAXON
OFFICER

Maj. Brandon Maxson is the Advance Pilot and Narrator for the U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, Thunderbird 8, flying the No. 8 jet. He is a 2014 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, where he majored in Economics. He enjoys golfing, surfing and hiking. He is a distinguished graduate of Undergraduate Pilot Training. He went on to fly the F-15C at Kingsley Field ANG Klamath Falls, OR., and Kadena AB, Okinawa Japan before transitioning the F-35 in 2021. He is a senior pilot with more than 1,420 flying hours. Prior to joining the Thunderbirds, he served as the Director of Staff for the 63rd Fighter Squadron at Luke AFB, AZ. He is in his first season with the team and hails from Ontario, Ca.

On May 25, 1953, just six years after the U.S. Air Force became its own branch of service, the Thunderbirds were born as the Air Force's official air demonstration team. The team, designated the 3600th Air Demonstration Unit, was activated at Luke AFB, Arizona. Over the years and with many different aircraft, the Thunderbirds have continued to represent those who deserve the most credit: the hardworking Airmen who serve our country every day.

The popular biennial event Wings Over Wayne is set for May 3-4, 2025, at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, featuring a variety of events for the public including a special appearance by the USAF Thunderbirds!

Wings Over Wayne (WOW#25) has grown to be the largest free air show in North Carolina, attracting nearly 200,000 people every other year to the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Admission and parking will be free. From food offerings to the Kids’ Zone, to demonstrations of wings in the air and wheels on the ground, there will be activities for all ages to enjoy!
